In Wyoming, 14% of children aged three to 17 have been diagnosed with anxiety or depression; the national average is less than 12% (Victor, 2022). Emotional trauma to children is very common especially in Wyoming, and while we as adults don’t always see it, it’s easy to contribute to when children are so vulnerable at such a young age.

We, as a center, are dedicated to decreasing mental health issues in children, one at a time. By implementing strict hiring requirements, ongoing staff development, carefully designed and easily communicated antibullying, anti-discrimination, and specific guidance policies, we are proactive in overcoming the obstacle of difficult child-behavior and encouraging a positive and safe environment for children of all ages.
